blogging for taiwan trip!! 11/5/2010 -- 18/5/2010 ((:
it was my first time flying on a plane, i was quite excited(:
the lifting of the plane off the ground was damn shuang, like you feel tt you're actly floating in the air!
haha i especially like the initially acceleration into the air,
even though the pressure in my ears were abit hard to bear.
we were in the water cycle for most of the flight! xP
took lots of pics throughout the whole trip and shall upload them on facebook pretty soon!

11/5 Tues
once we reached there, we took a coach to our hotel and checked in (sneaked in 6pple into a 4pple room).
after awhile, we went to shihlin night mkt which sells this DAMN nice baked/fried potato with topping and cheese.
lynn, ttj and i shared one without cheesexD
i oso ate grilled sotong which gave me abit of a mouth ache aft tt cos need alot of effort to chew and swallow them.
other stuff we ate: ou ah jian (fried oyster), chao da ji pai (fried chicken), bubble tea, and guan zai ban (crab flavour ie. REAL CRAB!! xD)
ttj oso ate this zha dan (bomb) which is like a super big size takoyaki with the tako replaced with diff sorts of veggies.
back to hotel aft tt, CRASHED.

12/5 Wed
intially we went taipei main stn, thinking tt Cheng Pin bookstore is there, but in the end, there was some mistake and so we decided to go Xiu Zhen museum instead.
this museum displays many diff miniature figurines and models of places, pple and even those out of famous stories such as Jack and the Beanstalk.
took IMBA lots of pics!!
most of them are rly rly pretty and delicate and intricate!
can find all our dream houses therexP
we bought CN's prezzie here! a pencil sharpener in the shape of a french horn(:
After that, we went Zhong Hsiao Dun Hua stn, bought bubble tea again at some ulu roadside store.
then we went StayReal, Mayday's Ah Xin's shop to take a look.
everything was super ex and overpricedxP

Then we're off to Cheng Pin bookstore!
we spent like the most time here, finding books to buy and getting souvenirs for frens(:
i bought a picture book! it's in chinese but it's quite interesting(:
and i bought postcards for sisterhood! though i'm not giving them now cos it nds quite abit of preparation before it can be deliveredxP
HAHA and the lynn incident!
she intended to buy several books amounting to NTD998 and apparently if you spend NTD1000, you'll get like 10% discount or sth.
lynn totally din care abt her image and went,"QIAN BIIIAN!!"
ly said the salesgirl was quite shockedxP
and not only tt, aft tt, she went to pay for her expenses and realised tt her NTD500 was the old taiwan dollar note and cnt be used.
then she scolded,"QIAN BIIIAN!!" again!!
HAHAHAHAH IMBA FUNNY!
can totally imagine her saying tt!! xP
please dn kill me lynn!

after tt, we went Hou Shan Pi stn to Wufenpu to shop for cheap cheap clothes!!! xD
bought quite a few things, one of my most prized purchases is bought thr!
and i oso bought a dress, a top, and wei's prez.
damn shuang when you can haggle with the bossxP
quite sian tt we cnt do tt in SG ):
ttj tried to bargain this shirt for her bro, from NTD480 to NTD300.
the boss was quite irritated alr, then lynn said,"330 zui4 hou4."
and the boss just give in hahaha. she gave a lecture aft tt though and asked if we're singaporeans if i nvr rmb wrongly:P

ate dinner at Hu Xu Zhang Lu Rou Fan, they were having discount, so it's like NTD10 for each bowl of lu rou fan ie. 50cents each!
tt was the cheapest dinner we ever had, NTD120 for 6pple!! tt's like S$1/person!
we went to Taipei 101 aft tt, thinking we cld take a ride on the Miramar ferris wheel but we got the place wrong so in the end we just went up to taipei 101 5th flr to take a few pics and cab back to hotel to rest(:
tt day was the most imba tired day, feet nearly gave up on me!! ):
needed a foot massage... ahahha.

13/5 Thu
went Jiufen and bought lots of stuff for pple!!
cos they hv lots of souvenir shops there, we just bought wadever we're giving other pple thr and ly spent like NTD4000 there!!! :O
got this nai3 you2 taiyangbing which ly LOVES hahah.
bought one box for family!
think we ate smelly beancurd tt day, and ah po yu4 yuan2!

we went Rao He night mkt after tt, ate MANGO ICE!! and ma la qi pai! and some dumplings thing for dinner.
we din rly noe how to get to the train stn back to ximen stn,
so we walked walked and walked or super long!
none of us ever wna do tt walk again):
at the end of the day, tried to do the accounts, but we spent too much alr, damn luan accounts tt dun even match):

tt day oso damn suay, this hotel guy was on duty and we were so tired, we just went into the room like 5min after the first 4 went in.
he caught mar and i trying to act like we were staying thr, so we quickly zao and spinned a story abt us visiting frens in this hotel.
lucky mar thought fast and in the end, we paid for the night's stay over at this hotel, and spent much of the night searching for new hotels for the 2 extra pple.
and WALAO in the end, they just offered us to squeeze 6 pple in a room.
Heng for us, but i think at the end of the day, they just din want money to flow to other hotels..
dun like tt guy!!

14/5 Fri
went Bei Tou stn and then bus to Yang Ming Shan.
we went crazy there and took damn alot of photos(:
haha we took the bus in he wrong direction when we zao off and slept all the way throughoutxD

went Danshui!! ate the ice-cream even though it was damn cold and raining.
it's the super tall kind! though we din get to eat the imba tall one.
bought Qi's prez, a face towel (damn cute!!) and imba cheap belts(:
i oso found my bag thr!! the moment i looked at it, i totally fell in love(:
but cnt bargain though, the uncle not nice one):
bought 4 boxes of taiyangbing for family and relatives after tt, tgt with long2 xia1 shu2 bing3 which are damn nice, and ma2 la4 tie3 dan4 for jiada.

15/5 Sat
went Guan1 Yin1 Xiang1 to see the lighthouse.
saw lots of dogpoop along the way, i took pics of some of them!! xP
had lunch back at jilung i think then took bus to Ci2 Hu2, took lots of dumb dumb pics at Hou4 Ci2 Hu2 too!! xD
we din rly go into the Hua1 Hai3 (flower sea) place cos damn ex and thr wasn't enough time.
subsequently, we went Da4 Xi1 Lao3 Jie1 and saw this guy spinning an imba heavy top!
he went on the "zhuan4 shi2 ye4 zong3 hui4" before.
took a vid of it(:
i bought my first pinkie ring but i lost it on the way home): i was damn sad for tt night la! emomo~~
we had dinner at Ah Mei's Noodles and it was not bad(: cheap cheap too!
"jie4 shao4 gei3 shi2 ge4 ren2, shi2 yi1 ge4 ren2 shuo1 hao3 chi1" xD

after tt, we went Wufenpu to shopshop again(:
forgot wad i bought, probly more clothes again:P

16/5 Sun
went back to jilung, this time to some seaport.
we wanted to go this Badouzi seaport, but we went the wrong one, and ended up taking more photos thrxP
it was quite sunny tt day, borrowed lynn's sunglasses and took several photos of me posing as Jay ChouxP
the restaurant pple thr damn sticky, keep sticking to you and asking if you wanna eat thr..
super ex la! all seafood leh!
in the end, we went out of the seaport, to this family restaurant to eat.
there were 2 girls thr, SUPER cute!!
they kept coming to our table to talk to us(:
took some pics of one of them, the other one dao me):
hahah tt paedophile ly went to take a photo with one of them.
LOL we wanted to visit the Qing2 Ren2 Hu2 park and Yeliu Feng1 Jing3 Qu1 but in the end abit tired and sian of scenery alr, so we just skip all those and went back early to rest(:
we watched lots and lots of taiwan dramas tt night!!
hai pai tian xin, jiu xiang lai zhe ni and ming zhong zhu ding wo ai ni!

17/5 Mon
went Gu4 Gong1 museum to look at the ancient chinese civilization history.
we're not allowed to take photos though):
not very interesting to me, but the displays were rly pretty, my fave is turquoise coloured plain bowl(:
turquoise is song1 shi2 in chinese.

then we went Guo1 Yuan2 Yi4!
the cakes there not tt cheap, esp the pineapple tarts!
but the taiyangbing was abt same price though.
my mum LOVES the taiyangbing thr, gna ask my cousin to bring some back from thr haha.

then we set off for Ximending!
wah to my disappointment, the stuff there was super ex!!
much more expensive than Wufenpu!
and pinkie rings there cost ave NTD290 when i only bought for NTD90 at daxi laojie!
in the end, i bought 2 pinkie rings for NTD300(: tt's like buy 1 get 1 free haha.
din rly buy lots of stuff cos everything was so ex!
then went to meet ly's taiwan fren and went this toilet-themed restaurant to eat!
ordered a steamboat like thing to share with lynn, quite nice(:
had an idea to stick my hand into the sink (shaped like a toilet seat) and taking pic but the water inside is too er liao, dn darexP
bought my watch tgt with mar tt day!
mine has Shu Min in chinese carved on it! xD

18/5 Tues
supposed to do light shopping but in the end we quite meng.
i bought a pair of heels and a couple of bottoms and one top(:
tried to spend all my money but stl left with NTD200 ):
lynn and ttj bought the same sandals and ttj bought a pair of wedges!
ttj totally became super feminine-like la!
all the clothes tt she bought are geared towards a wardrobe change((:
i approve!
not tt my wardrobe is any more feminine than hers haha.
<3 the heels tt i bought, can wear with jeans/skirt/dress! (:

the flight back to SG, we played cards the whole way.
i slpt abit though. we totally openly ate sweets and drink outside drinks and left all the rubbish therexP
bought 2 bottles of alcohol and 6bottles of Heineken for my bro, he wanted to try haha.
then went back home.........

TAIWAN in TWO DAYS!!
so excited!!
hahah just started packing but it's done quite fast(:
gta clear my stuff from my shumin island before gg though... ):
so much rubbish, mostly bags and notes and tutorials.
and i'm gg thr to buy more bags and shoes and clothes!!
i'm gna make a shopping list ltr, and bring a small journal along to record down wad we've done!
i'll blog when we come back!! (:
